Founded in 1957 the Alton Camera Club is a member of both The Surrey Photographic Association and The Southern Photographic Federation.

Membership costs just £30 (wef September 2010) for the season which runs from September through to May. Our weekly meetings include lectures, competitions and practical evenings. During the season there are usually one or two social events.

We have a club library with a comprehensive catalogue. Members are allowed to take out up to four books at one time, entering their name and the titles in the Borrowers record book. The books may be renewed indefinately so long as no one else has reserved them. Occasionally additional books are purchased with Club funds by agreement with the Committee.
